New York, NY – LaTayvia Brown, a social entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and educator, has announced a new collection of at-home curriculum kits designed to bridge the gap between educators and parents. Recognizing the disparate impact created by the coronavirus pandemic, LaTayvia set out to create impactful, hands-on learning activities for the home environment. As school doors remain closed and those reopening require strict social distancing measures, a new era of interactive and engaging activities are needed.

With LaTayvia’s at-home curriculum kits, parents can bring social-emotional learning into the home. Providing tangible activities to help children of all ages master social, mental, and emotional awareness, parents, and schools are partnering with LaTayvia to provide kits to parents as a resource that empowers and equips children with the tools and resources needed to become the best versions of themselves.

Kits for high schoolers come with a one-hour parent engagement or teen lesson plan, a self-care activity booklet, a self-love day journal, two pencils, a beauty spa set, a do it yourself project materials, including inspirational bracelets, self-love day press-on nails, and a crown, while kits for middle schoolers come with a parent engagement lesson plan and interactive materials, including a unisex crown, paint your mood workbook, paintsticks, prayer magnet, poster boards, assorted crayons, a puzzle game, and other arts and crafts supplies. Kits are priced at $55 and $35, respectively. With each, children are provided with engaging learning activities that help them learn about self-awareness, self-care, and positivity through social-emotional learning.

In addition to these efforts, LaTayvia is the Founder and CEO of Professionally Inspire, LLC, an organization committed to providing services to help youth reach their fullest potential and turn aspirations into realities. LaTayvia and her team offer virtual workshops to parents and educators to help them navigate virtual learning while actively building and maintaining a virtual network of educators and parents with their membership program.

“My goal is to be a resource to the Black community by bridging the gap between educators and parents to serve our youth better,” remarked LaTayvia. “With the government making crazy decisions regarding the school system, it is time for community leaders, parents, and educators to come together with better curriculums that provide needed resources for our youth.”
