Decentralized Volunteering Protocol DeVo Begins DAO Founder & Seed Funding Phase
DeVo is a new decentralized ecosystem designed to facilitate trust-based interactions between volunteers, organizations, and groups in need. DeVo funds and rewards altruistic efforts through proven state-of-the-art blockchain architecture. This phase will fund the DAO and grow the number of strategic partners and advisors.

El Salvador – Feb 8, 2022 – Decentralized Volunteering (DeVo) Protocol entered its seed phase investment round for the DAO (decentralized autonomous organization). These DAO Founders acquire a DAO token (DEVO) to vote on proposals, thus decentralizing decision making. This phase also focuses on growing the protocol’s base of strategic advisors and partners to achieve DeVo’s vision of providing volunteers, charities, organizations, donors, and those in need with help through a perpetually funded & fully decentralized organization.

Select private DAO Founders fund the DeVo DAO by exchanging capital for DEVO governance tokens. As token holders, DAO Founders can vote on proposals that decide the early direction of the DeVo Protocol in a decentralized manner. The utilization of blockchain technology offers transparency and ubiquity as funds are traceable, proposals are public, and the software, maintained by nodes across the globe, can be accessed by anyone with a smartphone or internet connection.

The work and opinions of volunteers often go unappreciated and underfunded. Volunteer organizations struggle to find the critical resources they need, such as capital and qualified volunteers. Worst of all, people most in need receive a fraction of the donations intended to help them and have no voice in the care they receive. This all changes with the DeVo protocol which rewards altruistic efforts in an open and transparent ecosystem. Volunteers receive a unique blockchain identity which is used to record and verify their volunteer service work and reward them for their efforts. Volunteer Organizations can leverage this data to find the right volunteers for the job, connect with other stakeholders (such as corporate entities and other non-profit organizations), and apply for funding directly from the DAO. Marginalized individuals can be verified on the blockchain, using methods that do not compromise personal information, allowing them to receive the help they need and vote on proposals that affect their communities.

DeVo leverages pre-audited and upgradeable smart contracts to build a highly secure protocol adaptable for the ever-evolving blockchain space. The total initial token supply is 600,000,000 DEVO tokens with an initial proposed price of .10 USDT/DEVO for the phase 1 founding DAO members. The initial weight for voting on proposals is 51% of votes cast to pass, matched with a required 15% participation rate. DeVo harnesses DeFi mechanisms such as time-locked staking, liquidy, and yield rewards to generate constant revenue to support the growth of the protocol and fund altruistic efforts. Influenced by several profound models, the rebase mechanism and the 33% initial token supply locked-in liquidity help ensure stability for DEVO token holders. Locked liquidity also helps ensure the availability of a long-term budget.

For far too long, the centralized nature of the volunteering sector has created immense issues and disconnect among volunteers, volunteer organizations, marginalized groups, and donors. DeVo ameliorates many pain points by use of novel DeFi tools, decentralized decision making, and leveraging the transparency of blockchain technology.

Ibrahim Khader, DAO Founder, states, “As DeFi continues to grow and become ubiquitous in all our lives, it is imperative that a protocol exists for the volunteering sector. Using proven decentralized tools and unique blockchain architecture, DeVo Protocol raises the level of trust and value in the engagement among volunteers, volunteer organizations, donors, and marginalized communities.”

Hamdee Khader, DAO Founder, states, “The inefficiencies that exist within the philanthropic sector result in marginalized groups receiving suboptimal care. DeVo will update this antiquated model and once again prove that blockchain has and continues to positively contribute to society.”
