Mission Athletics Opens Its Doors to the Public After Training Facility Receives Overwhelming Interest Ahead of Grand Opening
Cedar Rapids, IA – August 20, 2026 – Mission Athletics, a state-of-the-art training facility built for wrestling, jiu jitsu, strength, and recovery, is now open to the general public. The announcement comes after the facility’s soft launch in March drew such strong demand that it is already operating at half capacity.
Located at 5265 Rockwell, Ste 100, Cedar Rapids, IA, Mission Athletics gives athletes of all levels access to elite coaching and training under one roof. Members can train wrestling and Brazilian jiu jitsu on six full-size competition mats, built for everything from technique drilling to full camp intensity, while also taking advantage of a dedicated strength and conditioning program. The facility’s recovery suite rounds out the offering with a hyperbaric chamber, sauna room, plunge pools, red light therapy, neurotherapy, and massage and chiropractic care, giving members a complete performance and recovery experience rarely found in one location.
Since its soft launch, Mission Athletics has also been recognized with the Fitness Impact Award from the Consumer Rating Institute, reflecting the early impact the facility has made in the Cedar Rapids community.
